The $10,000 Ricola Twilight Grand Prix presented by Basecamp Adventure Outfitters and Liberty Cycle with supporting sponsorship from Wescth Architecture + Interiors, The Olde Mill Inn, Station Pub and Grub, Ridge Marketing and Bernards Township started in Basking Ridge, NJ with a full field of 125 rider. Cycling fans from across the region turned out in the thousands to cheer on the riders. The race is a 40 lap criterium with 8 turns, "It's a bike riders course" said Kelly Strategies' Johnny Sundt. The race was only together at the start line as Navigators rider David O'laughlin went to the front early and strung out the field. The relentless attacking on the home straight and the slalom like back stretch saw even the strongest riders falling off the back in the first half of the race. A small breakaway group escaped with 8 laps to go and despite the fields efforts the group stayed away. Kristian House, of Navigators Insurance, took away top honors and continued Navigators impressive string of victories.
