 Tour des Farms (Southern Connecticut) Presented by CT Folk Hamden, CT Sunday, August 01, 2010 Online Registration Closes Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 12:00 NOON ET Online registration is closed, but please join us at 8:30 am to sign up on the day of the event! On-site registration starts at 8:30 am, Sunday Aug. 1. The Tour des Farms begins and ends at the Miller Complex in Hamden (the parking lot of the Hamden public library and the Hamden senior center), at 2901 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT. The Miller complex is closest to exit 62 off the Merritt Parkway and exit 1 off the Mt. Carmel Connector. See our webpage for detailed directions including bus and train transport: www.ctfolk.com/ctff/tour.html The Tour des Farms is a 24-mile leisure bike ride that will stop at five farms and greenhouses along the way with time to explore and enjoy local agricultural treasures. At each stop a CT-grown musician will play. At the close of the ride, an outdoor concert will feature all of the musicians from the day and surprise guests. Riders are invited to come to the 5 pm concert for free; others are invited on a donation basis. The route includes some rolling hills and is appropriate for riders 12 and up. |
