Mountain Top Finish! Returning race course for 2010 in the heart of the Mon
National Forest! Leave your expensive Flux-Capacitors and fancy wheels at
home cause it's WV and we got pot holes, but do not forget your climbing legs,
and yes, they can have hair on them too. We don't judge! Be prepared
to climb with this course. Cat 1/2/3 will see three large climbs over
7 miles long. All other class will face two large climbs of 7 miles in length
as well. This course also takes you along the Cheat River for several miles
over wonderful view of the mountain state. The course will features a mountain
top finish at Sugarlands. This climb has one of the largest grades in the
entire county. The start of this race will happen at the large windmills at the
top of Sugarlands, but for safety reason it will be a controlled roll to the
bottom. This will give riders who didn't get a chance to pre-ride the course a
good view of the finishing climb. Once at the bottom of the mountain the race
is on. The Cat 4/5 rider will do one loop of the course "view course
map". The 1/2/3's will have to do the climb at location two times before returning
to the Sugarlands road.
