Race packet pick-up and registration available on Sat, Oct. 24, from 6 – 9 PM at Looking Glass Lounge, 3634 Georgia Ave, NW, Washington, DC,

and on race day at the course with a $10 day-of registration fee. Registration opens at 8:00 am and closes 15 min before each start.

 

Points for series championship jerseys are awarded to MABRA CX categories. Non-MABRA CX categories (Cat 4 Men, Cat 3,4 Men 35+, Cat 3 and 4 Women, Juniors 15 – 18 women and Juniors 10 - 14) receive points for ranking only.

Races are on a traditional cyclocross course with pavement, grass, small hills, gravel, man-made barriers, and one pit area.

Call-ups will be based on the most recent MABRA 2009 CX Series standings. No call-ups for 9:00 am race. After call-ups, riders will be staged by USAC CX license category and order of registration.

PLEASE REGISTER AT BIKEREG.COM (additional fee charged by bikereg.com). Online registration closes Thursday, October 22th at 10:00 PM. No refunds. USAC Road or Mountain license required. One-day licenses are available for $10 at online registration and on race day. A $10 day-of fee will be charged for all entries purchased on race day

All USAC Cyclocross rules apply. Event will be held rain or shine. USAC Event Permit pending

Directions: The Armed Forces Retirement Home is located at Rock Creek Church Rd, NW & Upshur St, NW, Washington, DC 20011.

North of DC: I-95 S to I-495 W. Exit 31 (Georgia Ave) towards Silver Spring. Pass Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Turn left on Upshur St (just after 4200 block of Georgia Ave). Cross Rock Creek Church Rd into the AFRH-W "Eagle Gate" at Upshur Ave NW.

South of DC: I-95 N to I-395, stay on to end at New York Ave. Right on New York Ave. Go two blocks and turn right onto M St. Left at second light onto N. Capitol St. NW. Continue past the sign to the Armed Forces Retirement Home. Left onto Allison St. Left onto Rock Creek Church Rd, and left into the AFRH-W "Eagle Gate" at Upshur Ave NW.

The Marine Corp Marathon is also on October 25. There will be street closures around the monuments of DC and Arlington. Avoid this area and give yourself extra time if you're coming from south of DC. Details on street closures are at www.marinemarathon.com.
