An off-road mountain bike race that is a challenge for all level riders, the 2009 Mt. SAC Fat Tire Classic will be the 19th Annual race held on campus.
Held on the property of Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, the race course sets off over a rolling landscape with two steep climbs and 1/4 mile steep downhill per six-mile loop. Participants ride through two tunnels on mostly packed dirt twice per loop.
Handcrafted trophies, created by an SC Velo Club member, are awarded three deep in all classes. Your entry fee is a tax-deductible contribution to Mt. SAC Welding Dept.
Again this year we are part of the SoCal Triple Crown Series. Joined along with the Incycle Cross Country Challenge and the 18th Annual Southridge XC Challenge. Combined points from all three races will determine series winners at the end of the season. REGISTER TODAY!

RULES: This is "NOT" a USA Cycling sanctioned event. We ask that all participants entering the Cat. 3 (Beginner) class be true Cat. 3 (BEGINNER) and not experienced racers looking for an easy award. IF YOU HAVE RACED 3 OR MORE TIMES, PLEASE ENTER THE Cat. 2 CLASS! There is no night pre-ride event this year. All events are held rain of shine - sorry no refunds. The event is centrally located at the intersection of the I-10, I-210 & 57N Freeways for easy access. Follow signs to the campus of Mt. San Antonio College. There is plenty of parking on campus.
From Los Angeles:
Take the 10 freeway EAST to the 57 SOUTH and exit at Temple Ave. Make a RIGHT onto Temple and a LEFT on Bonita Drive (towards the Mt. SAC football stadium). The race start will be on Bonita Drive.
From Orange County:
Take the 57 freeway NORTH to Temple Avenue and exit north (LEFT-hand turn) and make a RIGHT onto Temple and a LEFT on Bonita Drive (towards the Mt. SAC football stadium). The race start will be on Bonita Drive
From The Inland Empire:
Take the 10 freeway WEST to the 57 SOUTH and exit at Temple Ave. Make a LEFT onto Temple and a LEFT on Bonita Drive (towards the Mt. SAC football stadium). The race start will be on Bonita Drive
From the Pasadena area:
Take the 210 freeway EAST to 57 Freeway SOUTH. Exit on Temple Avenue and turn north (RIGHT-hand turn) onto Temple and LEFT on Bonita Drive (towards the Mt. SAC football stadium). The race start will be on Bonita Drive
