The staff of Bicycling Magazine invites you to join us for the fifth-annual Bicycling Fall Classic. With rides of 10, 25, 50, and 90 miles, riders of any ability will have the chance to enjoy our favorite roads, and wind through Eastern Pennsylvania’s forests, farms, and rolling hills.

Riders on all four routes will enjoy attentive on-course nutritional, mechanical, and medical support; timing chips (with prizes for top climbers on the 50- and 90-mile courses); a Roubaix-style victory lap around the iconic Valley Preferred Cycling Center (“T-Town” velodrome) track; and a post-ride party with healthy lunch, free beer, live music, free massage, and more.

Bicycling's Fall Classic will start and finish at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center. Home of the "T-Town" velodrome, the VPCC also hosts VeloFest, the nation’s largest outdoor cycling flea market, on Saturday, October 3rd. Is the Bicycling Fall Classic a race?

No, the Bicycling fall Classic is not a race, it is an event intended to satisfy riders of all abilities. For those with a competitive bent, the 50- and 90-mile routes feature timed climbing sections (KOM/QOMs). The 50-mile route has two, and the 90-mile route has three.

What if it rains?

The Bicycling Fall Classic will be held rain or shine. If there is a dangerous, extreme weather situation imminent registrants will be emailed using the email address used during registration. There will also be a notice posted on the event website, and registered participants will be sent an email.

Where can I park?

The starts and ends at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center, there are two paved lots, as well as two large fields available for parlking. The venue address is:

Can I register for the 90, and on event day do the 50 if I decide the 90 is too long?

Yes, you can always choose to do a shorter distance.

I can't make it to the event, can I transfer my registration?

No, unfortunately, due to liability issues and event waivers we cannot transfer registrations.

I can't make it to the event, can I get a refund?

We can issue a refund, up until online registration closes on October 1. Refunds will be issued through BikeReg.com, our event registration service provider. It is not possible to issue refunds after online registration closes—absolutely no refunds will be issued after online registration closes.

Will there be support on all Bicycling Fall Classic routes?

Yes, there will be stations along the route with food, drink, mechanical support, and medical aid – one station on the 10- and 25-mile routes, two on the 60-mile route, and three on the 90-mile route. Riders should plan to carry enough food and water to ride between stations.

Can my [8, 9, 10, etc.] year old ride the [10, 25, 50, 90] mile ride?/ Are there age limits for entry?

There is no age limit for entering Bicycling's Fall Classic. As a parent or guardian, it is up to you to understand your child's abilities and limitations. The ride is held on open roads and hilly terrain. If you bring your child, please be sure they are on appropriate equipment. A single speed children's bike is not recommended for any of the distances except the 10-mile route. Young children riding in trailers behind their parents' bikes are also welcome to attend the ride, and do not need to register.

What does my Bicycling Fall Classic registration fee include?

You'll enjoy a scenic ride on our editors' favorite Eastern Pennsylvania roads (capped off with a victory lap around the iconic T-Town velodrome), and we'll make sure the rest of your Bicycling Fall Classic experience meets the high standard of our local riding with attentive on-course nutritional, mechanical, and medical support delivered at friendly rest stops. After the ride, refuel with a tasty lunch and free beer for riders 21+, and soothe aching muscles with a free massage.

When do I need to arrive for registration?

Beat the early morning lines on event-day by visiting the Bicycling Fall Classic tent directly outside the main entrance to the Valley Preferred Cycling Center during VeloFest on Saturday, October 3, from 8:30AM-2:00PM. The velodrome is located at 1151 Mosser Road, Breiningsville, PA 18031. All riders who pre-register on Saturday will receive a wristband for complimentary entry to VeloFest, the nation's largest cycling flea market.

If you prefer to wait until event-day to sign in, please plan to arrive during the registration period for the route you are riding:
90 miles: 6:00-8:00AM (ride departs at 8:00AM)
50 miles: 7:00-9:00AM (ride departs at 9:00AM)
25 miles: 9:00-10:00AM (ride departs at 10:00AM)
10 miles: 10:00-11:00AM (ride departs at 11:00AM)

What can I win in the KOM/QOM competition?

Specialized will awarding premium prizes to the fastest five male and female climbers on the timed segments of the 50- and 90-mile routes. Prizes to be announced.

When is lunch served?

We recognize that everyone will ride the Bicycling Fall Classic at their own speed, and we'll make sure you don't miss lunch if you want to take your time. Lunch (and free beer for riders 21+) will be served from 12:00-4:00PM in the Valley Preferred Cycling Center courtyard.

Every Bicycling Fall Classic rider will be issues two lunch tickets, which are attached to their bib number. These tickets can be redeemed at any food vendor in the Valley Preferred Cycling Center courtyard.

How can I buy a Bicycling Fall Classic jersey?

This year's limited-edition Bicycling Fall Classic jersey will be available soon through our registration site. Last year, these jerseys sold out, so order today to ensure that your size is available.

What is VeloFest?

Twice a year, thousands of cyclists flock to the Valley Preferred Cycling Center to shop for new and used bikes, components, apparel and accessories sold by bike shops and their fellow riders. We've timed the Bicycling Fall Classic to coincide with the Fall VeloFest – hosted from 8:30AM-2:00PM on Saturday, October 3 – and we highly recommend that you make a trip to VeloFest part of a full weekend of cycling activities in the Lehigh Valley this fall. How do I refer a friend?
