About the Orange County Bicycle Club
The Orange County Bicycle Club (OCBC) is a group of recreational enthusiasts that has been wheeling through the Hudson Valley for about twenty years.
We meet on our bikes every Saturday morning at the intersection of 17-A and Route 94 in Florida, NY. In addition to the big Saturday ride, there are Sunday excursions and smaller club rides departing various locations most weekdays in the warmer months. Click here for our ride calendar.
We feel there is no better place to be a cyclist than in Orange County. We have plenty of empty roads in a landscape of fields, lakes, pastures and woods. When you crest a hill and suddenly a view opens up of a high ridge across the fields, you inflate with a sort of happiness. That is what why we ride.
We have an amazing variety of members, eight-year-olds and eighty-year-olds, hard racers and soft peddlers. We have every different level of fitness and ability. Some of us go for training, some for companionship, some for a good-natured race, some just to get out of the house, but we all ride for fun.
Join OCBC by coming for a ride! See our ride calendar for dates, times and start locations. If you're just starting out, we suggest you begin with an easy Poker ride. As a prospective new member or guest, you may attend up to two club rides before joining. For insurance purposes, all nonmembers are required to sign a liability waiver before any ride.
