BREAKFAST: There is a dunkin donuts at the start
Both rides starts in Clifton Park, heads to ballston lake, through east galway, to corinth, over west mounatin, to sacandaga lake, to the fity mile mark, where we stop at a general store. The course then heads to galway, to charlton, burnt hills, and back to clifton park. We pass 3 Stewarts Shops along the way, where you can break, and eat. There is one big climb up West Mountain, and then a bunch of rollars coming up off the lake.
The course is fun, trust me!
Both The 100 and the 62 follow similar routes with good climbs.
The ride attracts anywhere from 40-60 riders. It is a great north country ride, being it is one big loop and the traffic is kept to a minimum. Be prepared for any kind of weather and bring your climbing legs.
The ride will start as a mass group of each distance. We will have route marshals in HRRT team colors on route to assist if needed. This event is a ride, not a race
This ride is organized by HRRT. HRRT is a cool team in the capital district that strives to help riders realize their hidden talent on the bike . Your ride registration fee is actually a membership to our team HRRT. Once your a member you get all sorts of exciting perks, like free entry into select races we put on, discounts on coaching and clinics, discounts at shops, and more. It is a really cool concept, that we use in order to maintain that 90's grassroots style of riding. No affiliations with big league productions, or such, just home town racing. Once we get you on the team...we try to hook you and make you come back..social gatherings, group rides and more.
