Please check back for updates; this race flyer is dated February 12, 2014.
Mount Joy is in Lancaster County, PA. This is a three-day event and you may race on Saturday,
Sunday, Monday or all three days (see individual race flyers for information on each day’s races).
The Mount Joy Road Race™ course (Saturday) is a 6.9-mile/11.1-km circuit. The Little Chiques
Time Trial™ and Little Chiques Road Race™ courses (Sunday) are both on a 5.2-mile/ 8.5-km
circuit. The Rapho Road Race™ course (Monday) is a 9.3-mile/15.1-km circuit. The courses are
all in the style of a European kermesse with rolling hills on country roads. Centerline rule and
junior (U19) gear restrictions will apply. Time Trial start times will be posted on Saturday.
Races with the same start times race together, these are combined fields. With approval
of the chief referee on race-day, larger (i.e. when both have greater than 30 riders each)
Masters 40+/50+ and Masters 40+ (cat. 5) and Women 3 & 4 fields may be split with a
one minute separation. Combined field limits for Men 4 & 5 and U19 Men 4 & 5 are 75
riders. Combined field limits for the Masters 40+ (cat. 5) and Women 3 & 4 and
U19 Women 3 & 4 are 75 riders. Combined field limits are allocated (with our best
efforts to give each group a race) on a first-come, first-served basis; register early as
places are allocated to wherever the demand is strongest.
The combined races per category for three days will be scored as an international omnium and
additional prizes for the overall results are as follows: Men 4 & 5 - $200/3*; Masters 40+ (cat. 5)
Trophies/3; Women 3 & 4 $100/3*; Elite (Pro, 1 & 2) $500/7; Men 3 $300/5*; Masters 40+
$200/3*; and Masters 50+ $100/3*.
*Men 4 & 5, Women 3 & 4, Men 3, and Masters 40+/50+ prizes are merchandise. Cash prizes
for the Elite race will be as listed with 30 or more riders or 50% of gate receipts for this race,
whichever is less (places for payout may be reduced proportionately). **U19 Men and Women
participate in prizes for the senior category of the combined field they race with. All races
require a minimum field of 20 participants (10 for women) at the close of early registration on
Thursday, May 15 or they may be canceled at the promoter’s discretion; U19 races are
subject to senior category minimum field requirement.
