Thank you for expressing interest in the Bear Claw Epic Mountain Bike Race! Online registration is officially closed, but onsite registration will be available on September 24, 2016 for $40. Below is some important information about race day. PACKET PICK UP Packet pick up will be held Friday Night from 6pm - 8pm downtown Cadillac at the newly renovated Cadillac Commons (old Cadillac City Park). We will be located in front of the newly installed fireplace. Please check out the website for location of the commons http://cadillaccommons.com/ There is ample parking available in downtown Cadillac. After packet pick up, feel free to frequent one of Cadillac's MANY fine eating establishments which are literally a stone's throw away from packet pick up. If you can't make it Friday night, no worries! Race Day packet pick up will start at 8am on site at the Wexford Missaukee ISD CTC. 9901 E 13th St, Cadillac, MI 49601 If you ordered a t-shirt, it will be available for pick up Friday and Saturday as well. The Course Per DNR requirements, the course cannot be officially marked until the day before the race. The course should be completely marked by Friday afternoon. Hopefully you have had an opportunity to partake in one of our "Dirt Not Dates" course previews. But if not, come on out Friday and take a peak. We have been working hard to get the course in tip top shape and we think it's in even better shape than last year! RACE DAY REGISTRATION Holding out to the bitter end to decide whether or not to race? We've got you covered! Race day registration will be available from 8:00 to 9:30am on site for $40 (9901 E 13th St, Cadillac, MI 49601). We will be accepting cold hard cash, checks, or credit card (if you have a sweet bike you want to trade, we may take that too...). RACE START We will be starting in a wave style format. Waves will be posted on race day, but the first wave will take off at 10am. We will be releasing waves on 2 minute intervals to try and avoid congestion on the course for racers. AWARDS In an attempt to keep everyone from waiting around after their race for awards, this year we will stagger our awards ceremonies. When the top three from each category in a race division have finished (e.g. the top three in every age bracket for the beginner race) we will make an announcement to gather and start the awards ceremony for that race. Results for the race will be posted as they become available. POST RACE RAFFLE We have been collecting some pretty awesome swag for our raffle. Each racer will receive ONE raffle ticket they can use to bid for a raffle item of interest. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase for racers and spectators to increase your chances of winning (1 for $1, or 6 for $5). The raffle will be held at the conclusion of all races and YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN. Trust me... you will want to stay... there are some AWESOME prizes. Pass the time by cheering on your fellow racers. After all, who doesn't like feeling like a pro rider with gads of fans supporting them as they grunt it out on the course?!
