Dear Easter Hill Country Tour Rider,
Many of you were aware that 2019 was scheduled to be the last EHCT, but the Kerrville cyclists, along with Schreiner University, thought we would like to continue this long held event as a Kerrville community sponsored invitation to our town. So we, along with lots of help from the Fort Worth cyclists, planned the 2020 ride. But, we were thwarted in late March by COVID and forced to cancel. None of us at the time imagined that COVID would still be an issue by this time in 2021. However, COVID, along with the repercussions of Winter Storm Uri still affecting our area, and our ability to mobilize enough volunteers, has caused us to reconsider how we can best create an enjoyable experience for you this year.
We are not able to offer a supported ride, but we still want you to come to Kerrville and enjoy our beautiful country roads and river trail! We have changed from the traditional tour to a Virtual Tour, but unlike other virtual events that expect you to ride the same routes you always ride in your own community, we offer you “the keys” to our town for the full month of April to come ride the routes we had planned for the Tour weekend. Not only will you be able to enjoy the wildflowers, but many of our local businesses will offer you perks when you show them your EHCT key. The YO hotel will honor the EHCT pricing for the whole month of April, if you tell them you are with the EHCT virtual ride.
How this will work when you register with a $25 fee
- Offer good for April 1 - 30, 2021
- Gain access to the maps for the Tour routes (either on a ride app or as a downloadable map)
- Acquire a “key to the city” which garners you various perks at local restaurants and other services
- Receive a $10 discount applied to the 2022 tour.

Next year, fingers crossed, COVID will not be as prevalent an issue, and we will be able to offer lots of really fun additions to the traditional EHCT schedule. Here are a few of the ideas we had hoped to offer this year: live music at the new bar located on Schreiner campus, a game night of washers or volleyball, food trucks for after your ride, maybe even a family Easter parade.
We do hope to see you here this year, please register for our virtual tour.
Thank you for your support and understanding,
The Kerrville EHCT team
