The XIVth Edition of NoTubes Iron Cross...
Due to the massive and overwhelming success of the roll out of the PA Interscholastic League we've needed to devote 100% of our resources to starting this fantastic program (aside: if you've not visited a NICA event - NY and VA have 'em, coming to NJ and NC in the spring, more out there too - you should, if you love this sport like we do, it'll give you goosebumps!).
Unfortunately, what we've not had time to adequately address is all of the details that are needed to create the experience you deserve when racing Iron Cross.
So, we're not going to race.
But, we are going ride.
Saturday Oct 8 is going to offer a couple ride options. There will be a group or two head out for the long course and a group or two head out on the short course. There will be re-grouping. There just won't be all the beating each other into submission motivation you may have needed the past 13 times we did this thing. Working on Sunday rides too.
Join me while we take a little break from some other things to enjoy these incredible PA woods and the wonderful community of Williamsport, PA
More information and some Facebook event pages coming in the next 24 hours. We'll post here and elsewhere.
Thanks for all your support,

- Iron Cross weekend - a full weekend of all-roads and the Iron Cross race! Weekend includes Friday night kick off and pre-party. Saturday brings the Iron Cross races and rides, a family friendly scavenger hunt, and post race festivities at the finish line first and The Pajama Factory later into the night! Then Sunday is all about fun rides with SVVC leading you out for miles of incredible gravel in all directions. Check the site for more info and make a weekend of Iron Cross.
Three courses on offer this year of 65 miles (or 100 Kuhnometers), 50 miles (or 100 Kuhnometers), and 25 miles (or 100 Kuhnometers) await. New age groups and a fat bike category offer up some different ways to take part. All serve up of a fanatastic mix of dirt, pavement, singletrack and tons of gravel; all roads and some trail lead to Williamsport PA this October!
Iron Cross says, "The high speed paved descents and a course with plenty of climbing, miles of gravel and a new fantastic "run-up" is for the cross bike in me, but four or five miles of fun singletrack is for the mountain bike in me!"

Special thanks to our good friends at the Susquehanna Valley Velo Club for all they've done to make this happen!
