The Southern Tier Enduro at Jones Park

This is a copy of the email sent to the pre registered riderS. We have decided to cancel the Jones Park race for this year.

Good morning everyone. It has been 3 years since we started hosting this race. Each year the event has grown, the stoke and excitement has grown, and we hope we have done a better job each year hosting it for you in return. We joined the Mid Atlantic Super Series last year and hope to continue that partnership into the future. They seem to be a great group of people dedicated to racing and having fun on two wheels.

The rest of this email will not be so easy to write. I know alot of planning goes in to each race that you choose to attend. I understand the planning efforts you have all made around traveling, spending time with your family or even away from them to come to this event. I understand some of you may have had to plan around work or school schedules and are now missing time from that.

There is nothing I'd like more than to see happy faces around our campfire Saturday night and hear the cowbells Sunday morning cheering each one of you on. I truly mean that. Given the circumstances we face today and the challenges presented to us in the wake of Covid, I am choosing to cancel the Southern Tier Enduro at Jones Park for this year.

I can't express how sad it makes me as I have to write this to each of you. This event has been a point of pride for our mountain bike community for a few years now. The dedication from the trail builders, and all the folks that help make the event happen is astounding each year. They have been putting in sweat equity all spring and summer in the hopes that the event would run.

I'd like to first appologize to all of you for any inconveniences that this late cancellation has caused. I will be immediatly issuing full refunds to anyone registered. I know I can't give back the time you have already spent planning, but I'd also like to offer you all discounted registration for next year if you choose to race with us.

Next I'd like to thank you. Thank you for choosing to support local racing. Thank you for being mountain bikers. I hope I can see each and every one of you at the race next year.
