2020 Mountain Bike Weekend has been cancelled.

About the QOD Mtb Weekend:
The 7th Annual QOD Mountain Bike Weekend is created and run by women for women and junior girls! Our goal is to empower women and girls (from beginner to advanced riders) to be self-sufficient mountain bikers, and give them a well-rounded understanding of technical riding (through fun, safe progressions), as well as bike and trail maintenance. The clinic creates a supportive network of local women riders of all levels. Registration opens January 17th, 9am and sells out quick! (Last year sold out in 1 hour). Save the date!

Weekend Cost: $375 for women and $165 for junior girls (portion of all entries donated to WMBC trail building organization and to support the QOD scholarship fund). For more information on scholarship opportunities please email:

QOD Women’s Weekend Schedule and Details:

SATURDAY and SUNDAY, JUNE 13-14: Arrive Saturday at 9:30 a.m. for check-in/name plates, if you did not do this Friday evening. Delicious catered lunch included both days.

Day clinics begin at Lake Padden Park (4882 S. Samish Way). Enter the park at the East Entrance and head all the way back to the ballfields, park and look for purple balloons and purple Liv tents down in the fields. (See below on what to bring and expect). We will have both carpool and pedal options to get to south side Galbraith trailhead after lunch both days for trail application coaching with your small group.

SATURDAY NIGHT 21+ After-Party at private event venue in Bellingham. Join us for a fun evening of socializing, games, and raffle prizes (spouses/partners and sponsors welcome). Food and drinks available for purchase, raffle prizes, & games and the incredible MC Alyson Indrunas. Volunteers, participants, sponsors and a spouse/partner or a friend encouraged to attend the after party!

WHAT TO EXPECT for Weekend Skills Instruction Days:
· Participants are split into small groups of approx. 6-8 based on a pre-assessment survey filled out prior. This survey will be sent out a few weeks before the clinic.
Safety inspection: fit, and setup suggestions: Coaches will start every lesson with a bike safety check and quick fit analysis to ensure you and your bike are best suited for a fun and safe progression session.
· Technique building: A progressive approach starting in a low-consequence setting that allows students to focus on body position, timing, and execution of more fundamental (for those new to the sport) or more dynamic/advanced skills (such as jumping, drops, manuals), methodically adding the next level of complexity for each skill based on needs.
· Trail time: Expect to get time on the trail after lunch each day to test out and hone your new skills. Let your coach know if there is a specific trail in your area that you want to ride with more flow, confidence, speed, and fun so she can try to tailor the lesson for that trail.
· Personalized feedback: Throughout the entire session, you can expect your coach to give you direct feedback to help you achieve your personal progression goals. There are many things you can learn to do by watching YouTube but getting specific critiques to move you forward is only possible by having a highly experienced coach in-person. Your coach may also use video and photo analysis to enhance the personalized feedback.
· Homework: Learning is an arduous process and it requires practice and patience so your coach will give you many homework assignments to help you keep your skills sharp and progressing.
· Free support: For up to 30 days after the clinic, you can call or email your coach if you have any questions about what you’ve learned or if you need any other advice.
