Match Sprint (final standings)
Things turned interesting in the second repechage when
Jackie Simes IV, whose father qualified for the 1964 Olympics
at Kissena Velodrome, attacked at the gun. Only Ray Ignosh
had the power to hunt him down and move to the final.
In the final round , Kirk Catnott once again showed the value
of experience. In 2004 he qualified fifth and took third overall.
This year he qualified third, yet won the final with the most
exciting finish of the day. Wow!
