Thank you for your interest in VOLUNTEERING for the 2019 Warrior Bike Ride; a charity bike ride and family fun day to support America's wounded, ill and injured warriors and their families through the non-profit Serve Our Willing Warriors.

It is HIGHLY recommended that all volunteers attend the meeting on May 19, 3:30pm at the Farm Brewery at Broad Run. We will be meeting in The Roost and please plan for approximately 1 hour.

Day-of event Volunteers will need to check in on the day of the event, at the REGISTRATION table. You will be provided with a TShirt which you are expected to wear, and a coupon for lunch.

RIDER DETAILS:
Only REGISTERED Riders will be allowed on the course or at Rest Stops. Riders will be identified with a colored bib number. This bib will have the SAG Support and Emergency Phone numbers.
Pre-Event Rider Packet & Merchandise Pickup *rider must select which location at registration*
Riders will be given a T-shirt, Bib #, cue sheets and any last minute instructions at packet pickup or event day check-in.

6:30 am - Registration for Metric and 41 mile riders
6:30 am - BREAKFAST
7:30 am - Start Metric Century & 41 mile
8:00 am - Registration for Gravel & 25 mile & Warrior riders
9:30 am - Start Gravel & 25 mile & Warrior
9:30 am - Kid Zone Opens
11:00 am - Entertainment Begins!
11:00 am - Lunch Opens
1:30pm - Serve our Willing Warriors Ceremony
2:00 pm - Last Bikes Should be Off the Road
4:00 pm - Kid Zone Closed

  • 8:30am - 1pm. Hosted by A-1 Cycling. Mechanical support will be available for riders during the rest stop and to dispatch on the road as needed.

  • 9:30am - Noon, or until all Gravel riders finish (before 2pm). First-Aid/First Responder Preferred
Setup & Tear Down - Along Route RIDE DAY $0 $0
  • Drop tables, chairs, and tents at Rest Stops. Place signs, flags, etc at designated spots throughout courses.

  • Road marking for each route distance. 1 or 2 days prior to event
Support Vehicles & Drivers $0 $0
  • 7:30am-2pm. Drive routes to protect riders, assist with mechanical malfunctions, transport riders to closest rest stop if needed, communicate with HQ.
