Directions to Town Hill in Whitingham Vermont, the start/finish for the HLBT…

A. From the East (starting in Brattleboro):
From Brattleboro take Route 9 west towards Wilmington.
At the junction of Route 9 and Route 100 SOUTH (about a mile before Wilmington’s center), take a left on 100 SOUTH towards Jacksonville. See “from Jacksonville” below.
B. From the South (starting in Greenfield MA):
From Greenfield MA take Route 2 WEST from the Route 91 Roundabout for 3.5 miles. After you pass red Allen Brothers building (on right) and Shelburne Coffee Roasters (on left), turn right onto the “Shelburne - Colrain Road.” This road becomes Route 112 in the village of Colrain. Continue North on Route 112 to Jacksonville Vermont. The total distance from Route 91 to Jacksonville is 21 miles. See “from Jacksonville” below.
C. From the West (starting in Bennington):
From Bennington take Route 9 east into Wilmington. After going through Wilmington, take the right onto Route 100 SOUTH towards Jacksonville. See “from Jacksonville” below.
D. From the South-West (starting in North Adams MA):
From North Adams take Route 2 East a short distance, then take a left on Route 8 north (River Road) to Clarksburg MA and into Stamford VT. Route 8 becomes Vermont Route 100. Continue on Rt 100 through Readsboro and through the village of Whitingham. (The distance from the Vermont line to Whitingham is 18 miles.)
Less than ½ mile after the village of Whitingham, and just after passing Sadawga pond on your right is Sadawga Lake Road on your right. Take Sadawga Lake Road on your right. In less than ½ mile Town Hill Road goes straight (up the hill) where Sadawga Lake Road bears to the right. Go straight up Town Hill Road. In ½ mile you will arrive at the crest of Town Hill, the start of the HLBT. Watch for bikes – and Welcome! Please register ASAP.
E. From the North (Dover, Wardsboro, etc.):
Take Route 100 South to the stoplight in Wilmington. Go Left on Route 9 EAST. In about one mile, take a right on Route 100 SOUTH towards Jacksonville. See “from Jacksonville” below.
F. Directions from the village of JACKSONVILLE, VT:
At the intersection of Route 112 and Route 100, go up the steep hill on Route 100 “SOUTH” (though a compass will read westerly) on Route 100. In 1.8 miles, at the top of the big hill, turn LEFT onto Goodnow Road and proceed 1/2 mile. It will join Town Hill Road where you will bear slightly to the right. In 100 yards you will arrive at the crest of Town Hill, the start of the HLBT. Watch for bikes – and Welcome! Please register ASAP.
