We are excited to announce that we are now working with Adventure Advocates and the Nicholas Hill Group to offer an Event Cancellation Refund program.
This program protects event directors against unexpected cancellations. If there is a qualifying event, such as inclement weather, an unsafe venue, power failure, or a natural disaster, Adventure Advocates will cover entry fee refunds for participants.
When setting up an event on the athleteReg platforms, event directors can opt-in to the program by checking a box and agreeing to pay 1.3% of their entry fees, which comes directly from their registration payments. For that upfront cost, participants are paid back 100% of their entry fee in the case of a qualifying event, saving event directors from making reimbursements out of their own pockets.
